TRANSLATION METHODS OF COLLOCATIONS IN THE NOVEL “THE HUNGER GAMES”

This research aims to find out the translation methods of collocations in the novel ‘The Hunger Games’. The methodology used in this research is descriptive-qualitative. The data of this research were collected with documentation method. The problem formulation is ‘what translation methods are used to translate the collocations in the novel ’The Hunger Games?’ . Based on the finding, there were two translation methods that were used in the novel; full and partial. From the total 681 collocations that appeared in the novel 675 (99.12 %) were translated with full translation method, and six (0.88%) were translated with partial translation method. It is concluded that the most dominant translation method of collocations in the novel is the full translation method
